These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of HomeKeep ("the App"), a home maintenance reminder application developed by HomeKeep ("we," "us," or "our"). By purchasing, downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
HomeKeep is a home maintenance task management application for iOS devices. The App provides:
The App operates entirely offline on your device. No internet connection is required for core functionality.
HomeKeep is available as a one-time purchase through the Apple App Store. There are no subscriptions, recurring fees, or in-app purchases. Your one-time payment grants you a perpetual license to use the App on your Apple devices, subject to these Terms and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

All content included in the App -- including but not limited to the task library, descriptions, "Why It Matters" guidance, user interface design, icons, graphics, and software code -- is the intellectual property of HomeKeep and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
The pre-built maintenance task library, including task descriptions, scheduling recommendations, cost and time estimates, and explanatory text, represents original curated content. You may use this content within the App for your personal, non-commercial home maintenance purposes.
Any data you enter into the App -- including property names, custom tasks, notes, and completion records -- belongs to you. This data is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party.
You are solely responsible for backing up your device and the data stored within the App. We are not responsible for any data loss resulting from device failure, iOS updates, App deletion, or any other cause. We recommend maintaining regular device backups through iCloud or your computer.
The maintenance tasks, schedules, descriptions, cost estimates, time estimates, and "Why It Matters" explanations provided in the App are for general informational purposes only. They do not constitute professional home inspection, contracting, engineering, or trade advice. The information provided:
While we strive to provide accurate and helpful maintenance guidance, we make no warranties or representations regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or timeliness of any information in the App. Cost and time estimates are approximate ranges and may vary significantly based on your location, service providers, and specific circumstances.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL HOMEKEEP, ITS DEVELOPERS, AFFILIATES, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY:
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless HomeKeep and its developers from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or related to your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or any maintenance activities you perform or fail to perform.
The App uses local notifications to remind you of maintenance tasks. These notifications are provided as a convenience and should not be your sole method of tracking home maintenance. We are not liable for any missed notifications due to device settings, iOS restrictions, software updates, or any other technical factors. It is your responsibility to ensure that critical maintenance is performed regardless of notification delivery.
Optional reference links and web searches may open your browser or another external app for maintenance guidance. We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for any third-party content, websites, or advice accessed through those actions. Your use of external websites is governed by those sites' respective terms and privacy policies.
Your use of the App is also subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and Apple's terms, Apple's terms shall prevail with respect to matters governed by Apple's terms. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
We may release updates to the App from time to time to fix bugs, improve performance, or add features. We are under no obligation to provide updates or to maintain backward compatibility. We reserve the right to modify the App or discontinue it at any time without prior notice.
Your license to use the App continues until terminated. Your rights under these Terms will terminate automatically if you fail to comply with any of these Terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the App and delete all copies from your devices.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and HomeKeep regarding the App and supersede all prior agreements, representations, and understandings.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
