Frequently Asked Questions

Does HomeKeep need an internet connection?

No for core use. Your properties, tasks, history, and reminders stay on your device. Optional resource links and web searches open in your browser when you choose to use them.

Is HomeKeep a subscription?

No. HomeKeep is a one-time purchase with no recurring subscription and no in-app purchases.

Why are my notifications missing?

Check iOS notification permissions first, then confirm reminders are enabled in the app and on the task itself. If timing still looks wrong, use the notification refresh action in Settings and reopen the app once.

Where is my data stored?

Your data is stored locally on your device. HomeKeep does not require an account and does not sync your maintenance data to a remote server.

Can I add my own maintenance tasks?

Yes. You can create custom tasks, duplicate existing tasks, attach notes, and save a reference link for task-specific guidance.

Do widgets update automatically?

Yes. Widgets refresh over time and also update after key app changes, but iOS can cache snapshots. If the widget looks stale, remove and add it again.

How many properties can I manage?

HomeKeep currently supports up to three properties, each with its own task set and maintenance history.

How do I report a bug or request a feature?

Email support@homekeep.app or open a ticket on GitHub Issues with a short description, your device model, and iOS version. Screenshots are helpful when the issue is visual.
