Common questions

Why does Paintu3D ask for hand tracking?

Hand tracking lets you paint with pinch gestures when a stylus is not available.

Why does Paintu3D ask for world sensing?

World sensing keeps spatial work anchored and helps identify nearby surfaces for wall painting. Raw room-scanning data is not uploaded.

How do I reset the drawing space height?

Press and hold the Digital Crown/right-side button on Apple Vision Pro to recenter the space at your current head height.

How do exports work?

Paintu3D asks for add-only Photos access only when you choose to save exported artwork.

What is uploaded to a Shared Space (Beta)?

Only completed strokes and room metadata are uploaded. Local drawing does not wait for the network, and pending strokes retry when connectivity returns.

Does Talk record audio or video?

No. Talk can open an optional reusable Apple FaceTime link saved by the room owner. SharePlay is limited to test builds while it is validated and is not enabled in the App Store Release build. Paintu3D does not record calls.

How do I remove cloud content?

Unpublish a Public Gallery piece from its More menu. To delete the automatically generated cloud account and its associated shared data, use Settings > Privacy > Delete Cloud Account and Data. Local paintings remain on the device.

How do I report public content?

Use Report in the piece or Shared Space menu. You can also block a Public Gallery author from the piece menu and restore blocked authors in Settings. Reports are reviewed privately and do not notify the reported participant.

Bug reports

Use Report a Bug inside Paintu3D or email support. Useful reports include your Apple Vision Pro model, visionOS version, project type, selected brush, whether you were using hand tracking or a stylus, and a short description of what happened. Do not include passwords, private join codes, or sensitive personal information.
