The study notebook · Meet version 3

AIcademy 3 is here. Give the tricky part another try.

Your notes. A question to answer. A useful place to begin again.

You’ve read the page. You recognize the words. Then a question asks you to explain the idea, and you’re less sure. That moment shaped this update: how can a study app help you make an attempt, understand a mistake, and choose what to try next?

AIcademy 3 is now available for iPhone and iPad. The brighter workspace has a simple starting point: bring your material, turn it into practice, and come back to what you missed.

Make your notes something you can answer

Choose Use photos or notes to bring a clear photo or paste your text. AIcademy creates a study guide, five flashcards, and a quiz with 5, 10, 15, or 20 questions. Start with one lesson and enough detail to support useful questions; a longer quiz needs more material.

When an explanation leaves you wondering why, chat with Carlisle about the generated study set. Keep your original notes nearby and check important answers: AI can make mistakes, and chatting about a generated set is not a complete search of your original uploads.

Let a missed question choose the next step

A quiz shouldn’t end at the score. After you submit, missed and unanswered questions become part of your weak-spot review. Open My progress, choose Review my weak spots, and give those questions another attempt.

For a smaller session, choose a 5-, 10-, or 20-minute study mix. The time is an estimate, and the questions draw from available new material and review. There’s no streak penalty for coming back when you can.

Pick the AP starter that fits your class

Start with AP Biology, AP Calculus AB, or AP U.S. History. Across those courses, the library has six five-question mini-tests and 25 starter flashcards. Choose the topic closest to your current lesson, then use your class materials to fill in the wider picture.

These are independently authored starter exercises, not complete courses or official exams. AIcademy is not affiliated with or endorsed by College Board.

How to start in ten minutes

Once the app is downloaded, try this flexible first session. There’s no need to finish every card within the suggested time.

  1. Minute 0–1: Open AIcademy and tap Try a sample. The eight-card Biology session works offline without an account.
  2. Minutes 1–6: Attempt each card before revealing the answer. Say your explanation aloud or jot it down, then mark how it went.
  3. Minutes 6–8: Revisit a card you found difficult. Look for the specific connection you missed, then explain it again.
  4. Minutes 8–10: Choose your next small task: another card, an AP starter topic, or a page of your own notes. Leave the rest for another session.

You don’t need to tackle everything today. Start with one idea you want to explain a little better.
